Mouni Roy: Mouni Roy tied the knot with Dubai-based businessman Suraj Nambiar in a beautiful ceremony in Goa on Thursday (January 27). The couple had two weddings – a South Indian one in the morning and Bengali wedding in the evening.
Pictures from her Bengali wedding gave a glimpse of her bridal look in a magnificent red lehenga with gold embroidery. And the signature ‘Aayushmati bhava’ written veil with golden kiran reminded us instantly of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s wedding look. The bold brown smokey-eyes makeup and kundan matha-patti also is a classic look.
Mouni wore a quintessential bright red lehenga from B-Town brigade’s go-to designer Sabyasachi. Mouni twirled and posed like a happy bride before making her way to the mandap.
Recently, Katrina Kaif too wore a red lehenga from the designer minus the written part on her veil. The three brides wore the classic red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk with fine tilla work.
Mouni and Suraj’s wedding pictures are just straight out of a fairytale wedding. It was an intimate affair in the presence of close friends and family. Many celebrities like Madira Bedi, Aashka Goradia with hubby Brent Goble, Aamna Sharif, Arjun Bijlani with wife Neha and many others attended the two-day affair.
For the morning wedding as per South Indian rituals, Mouni wore a white sari with red border. She was decked in heavy intricate temple jewellery. Every moment captured from her wedding looks like a dream.
