Vasu (Nani) is a budding filmmaker with a bright future ahead of him. In a bid to find his footing in the film industry, he writes three exciting scrips that get picked up by producers in no time. But when he lands in legal trouble for plagiarising stories by a publishing house in Kolkata, he must prove his innocence in court. Psychology student and the actress of his short film, Keerthy (Krithi Shetty) ropes in her mentor (Leela Samson) and cousin Padmavati (Madonna Sebastian) to help him.
The first half of Shyam Singha Roy keeps one hooked, with most of the story taking place in the present time in Hyderabad.
