Bengali actor Srabanti Chatterjee on Thursday, announced her decision to quit the Bharatiya Janata Party. She had joined the party just before the Assembly polls on March 2 this year and was fielded as a candidate by the BJP.
She cited the BJP’s “lack of initiative and sincerity to further the cause of Bengal” as the reason for her resignation.
