Earlier, South Africa were bowled out for 229 runs after Shardul Thakur returned with the figures of 7/61 for the Indian team. Shardul’s figures are also the best by an Indian bowler in South Africa. Apart from Thakur, Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah picked two wickets each. The Proteas had taken a 27-run first-innings lead and now it will depend on how Indian batters will go in the second innings to set up a good target for the home side in the fourth innings.
