In Lucknow’s Medanta hospital, at least 25 medical staff including doctors and paramedics have tested positive for Covid-19.
As many as 25 medical staff including doctors and paramedics at Medanta hospital in Uttar Pradesh’s Lucknow have tested positive for Covid-19 on Tuesday.
All positive cases have been isolated. On Saturday, the state government ordered Covid-19 tests for the employees of Lucknow’s Medanta hospital following which new cases were reported.
The Covid-19 tests were conducted by the hospital administration recently and 25 of them returned a positive test.
Dr Rakesh Kapoor, Director of Medanta Hospital said a total of 800 samples were tested and 25 employees returned positive tests. All positive cases remain in home quarantine.
As of now, there are a total of 2,261 active cases of Covid-19 in Uttar Pradesh with 572 new cases reported on Monday.
India’s Omicron cases surged to 1,892 as per the data released by the Union Ministry of Family and Health Affairs. Meanwhile, 37,379 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
